05 Premier Girls – Jay Anderson was born and raised in Missoula and has fond memories of playing for the Strikers program when he was a youth player. He is happily married and has two children that play in the competitive program. He has enjoyed being a long time MicroStrikers coach, and was the Academy Director for six years. He holds a national D license and has almost 20 years of experience coaching both at the high school and youth levels.
Jay is also the current head boys’ coach at Hellgate High School, where he has coached for 15 years, both at the JV and varsity level. As a varsity coach, he has helped guide his team to the state tournament 9 times, the championship game four times, winning the championship in 2011 and 2015. In 2011, he was named Montana boys’ high school coach of the year and NSCAA regional coach of the year.
